Prayer at St Michael’s Church

During this unprecedented time, we have to find new ways to to support each other in prayer.

Worship at Church

The church is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 2pm to 4pm.

The church will be open in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines. This means hand sanitisers should be used on entry into the church, face masks should be worn and contact details (name and phone number) will be required for ‘track and trace’ purposes.

These have been challenging and difficult times for us all. As we endure the constraints of a second lockdown, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have invited Christians across the nation to participate in a month of prayer. The Archbishops encourage us to pray daily for a specific area of national concern culminating in a collective moment of prayer at 6pm each evening.

The daily national prayer points are as follows:

  • Sunday – Family, friends and loved ones
  • Monday – Schools and colleges, children and young people
  • Tuesday – Elderly, isolated and vulnerable
  • Wednesday – Businesses, the workplace and economic wellbeing
  • Thursday – The NHS and other key workers
  • Friday – National and local governments
  • Saturday – All who are grieving and all suffering with physical and mental ill-health
