We have partnered with Highgate Newtown Community Centre (HNCC) to deliver a Wellness Café and an Under 5s ‘Stay and Play’ in our Church Hall in an initiative aimed at combating loneliness and social isolation in our community.
The Wellness Café runs from 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; and the Under 5s ‘Stay and Play Drop In’ will run on Wednesday mornings. On Tuesdays, the Wellness Café will also offer a service for people living with dementia and their carers.
A nutritious 3-course meal will be served on both days between 12pm and 2pm and the meal will only cost £2.50 per person. Anyone can drop in for a bite to eat and some company.
With activities such as memory and board games, sewing sessions, poetry and creative writing, book club, drama, diamond painting and art classes, it promises to be a great time for all.
Volunteers are needed to help at the Wellness café. Anyone with some spare time, a cheerful manner and a lot of enthusiasm is welcome.
