In September 2013 we ran a sermon serie examining exactly what we believe. You can find the sermons and talking points below. We hope they might be useful in your faith journey.
Can we really speak about God as creator?
What’s so special about Jesus?
Since when has the church been good news?
Can the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus really have meaning for us today?
We explore these questions and more through the Apostles' Creed (see right).
Session 1: I Believe in God
Session 2: I Believe in Jesus Christ
Session 3: I Believe in the Crucifixion and Resurrection
Sesison 4: I Beleive in the Holy Spirit
Sesison 5: I Believe in the Church
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
